AxEvent 2007 Preview and first informations In september 2005 i spent 3 days in the Chamanna Varusch with my mother and my girlfriend Gaby. We had two big hikes and one long walk, so I know the hut and the surroundings quite well. There are mountains up to 3.146 m, the highest to reach (realistically) is the Piz Chaschauna with 3.070 m. The Chamanna Varusch lies close to th Swiss National Park in the Val Trupchun. The Park begins a few meters behind the Chamanna up the Val Trupchun. Val Trupchun is the valley with the most wild animals all over europe. On friday we can book a guided tour to the Val Trupchun, where we can see deers, groundhogs, chamois, eagles, capricorns and lots of other animals, living in the alps. More informations to the Swiss National Park you find here:http://www.nationalpark.ch

The Fuorcla Val Sassa is a 2.857 m high pass beneath the Piz Quattervals, one of the most significant peaks around. It's in the Swiss National Park - we met a group of about 15 capricorns on our way up there, which let us aproach them up to about 10 meters. From the fuorcla you have a very impressive view. This is one of the possible tours for our second day.

Another possible tour for the second day is a trip to the Pass Chaschauna, lying on the border to Italy. We met lot's of Mountain bikers there, carrying their bikes up to 2.694 m. From there we can get up to Punta Cassana with 3.007 m (hard trip) or to Piz Caschauna with 3.070 m (very hard trip).
